Europe

                                                                             OAC Europe Spain

At the Centre of Europe
Brussels is considered to be at the centre of Europe. Not, of course, geographically, the city that is very much to the west of the continent, but the ‘idea’ of Brussels, the metaphor for the power of the European Union.

It is fitting then that just outside this city 16, or so, National Directors and Evangelist from many parts of OAC’s work in Europe have joined together. Their OAC Europe Zone Conference form 22nd to the 25th of February enabled them to pray and plan for the ongoing evangelisation of this great, but spiritually dark, land-mass.

There are around 760 million people who live within the many countries. That number includes an estimated 30 million evangelical Christians (less than the number of the followers of Islam on the continent).

Over the course of the conference OAC evangelists gave reports of presenting the gospel in the streets, and in other venues, of Albania, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Faroe Islands, France, Germany, Hungary, Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Spain and Ukraine. Photos showed crowds of lost people listening and responding, children being taught about Jesus for the first time and becoming engaged, nationals and immigrants, people living in post-modern, modern and pre-modern societies, all within the one continent.

Please pray with us for the Lord to thrust out more labourers into this vast, vast harvest field. Please ask the Lord if He would have you be the answer to your own prayer and offer yourself to serve Him in full time evangelism.

Peter Kennelly
National Director OAC GB
