A blessed New Year to all readers!
I pray that 2010 will be a great year of Harvest as many hear the gospel proclaimed and will be glad and honour the word of the Lord and ... believe [Acts 13:48]

Yes, I am home now. The procedure was successful, but I am advised not to work for 4 weeks and then should be fine. Thanks for prayers and praise to God for His loving arms upholding me.

Am having to stand back from ministry at the moment. I have recently been having angina pains and am awaiting an angiogram. I had been told to 'take things easy' but recent 'attacks' have caused the doctor to instruct me not to drive for the time being.

Just got back from a great holiday in Jersey (our first time there and we loved it) - preparing now for a new term of ministry starting with an open-air on Friday

September looms and holidays are beginning to become a distant memory for most of us. Thoughts turn to the Autumn and another busy stretch of evangelism. 'What are you doing this week?' is a typical question at this time of year. On the 'open air' front it will be business as usual for many but with the schools not back for a couple of weeks there is space to plan and prepare for the months ahead. I have a number of significant events coming up demanding my careful attention now, not least my visit to a prison in Durham next week. Prayer then please for all the OAC staff at this important time of year!

Apologies for not updating whilst away but the days were long and internet access limited. Had a superb time. Thrilling to officially appoint Linda Silina as the first OAC Latvia ministry leader! Also great to meet the 'Star of Hope' team that has been formed in the Northern Region. The work is really taking shape with new teams forming and new emerging leaders being identified. Stuart and Cei are doing a great job! Finances are a pressure and Linda whilst having a few months in the bank will need to look to God for regular giving. The open airs went really well with good conversations and responses. Enjoyed good fellowship with my hosts Sarah and Aives. Sarah's support of OAC and the facilities afforded by the Salvation Army are a rich blessing. Home, tired, happy, 61 today!
